Courtesy meeting of the French ambassador Gilles with the head of the metropolis Shah

Kathmandu. Ambassador of France Gilles Burbaud has a courtesy call today with Chief Balendra Shah (Balendra) of Kathmandu Metropolis. During the meeting in the chief's office, the main topic was the distribution of services and facilities for city management.
We are currently preparing the budget policy and program. We have prioritized areas such as sustainable waste management, health, education and social sectors along with improvement of urban transport, respect, protection and promotion of cultural and ancient assets. Chief Shah said, "We are developing a system for projecting the future direction of development from short-term, medium-term and long-term plans and also setting future programs."
In the meeting, Loknath Paudyal, chief administrative officer of the metropolis, mentioned that the social development program in France is strong and mentioned that cooperation with the metropolis can be done in this area.
During that, Ambassador Burwao said that they are willing to support Kathmandu based on sustainable economic proposals for urban development and management. "We can help in waste management, water treatment and purification, health and education." Ambassador Jil said about the improvement of the public transport system, "According to the geographical and social structure of Kathmandu, only urban cars are more useful than metro or monorail. It requires little investment as compared to the investment in other means of public transport. Maintenance and operation costs are also reduced.
After the conversation, Ambassador Wurwao presented Chief Shah with a concept paper regarding the operation of urban only cars.
